A new species of catfish has been discovered, and researchers in Auburn University in Alabama named it Peckolita greedoi. A paper published last week describes several newly discovered catfish including P. greedoi, and explains the etymology:
Named for Greedo of Rodia, a bounty hunter killed by Han Solo in Chalmun’s Spaceport Cantina in the movie “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” (Lucasfilm, Twentieth Century Fox, 1977) with whom this species shares a remarkable resemblance.
Great news for fans of The Clone Wars! Four episodes of the prematurely cancelled show have been released in their unfinished state on the StarWars.com website:
In a video titled, “The Clone Wars Legacy”, the production team of The Clone Wars discuss the many unfinished storylines in the show, George Lucas’ involvement in the stories, and that they are now going to share a lot of their unfinished work through the StarWars.com website. They also mention Darth Maul’s story was adapted into the comic book “Darth Maul: Son Of Dathomir”
Hollywood gossip site TMZ has released more photos, this time from “inside an uber-secret location in the UK”. The photos show the Millenium Falcon in the early stages of construction. There are also pictures of the nose section of an X-Wing being built.
