2) General Questions

A. When does this story take place relative to the Star Wars saga?
Though George Lucas hasn't made it official yet, my guess would have to be about 10 years after Episode II:Attack of the Clones. Why, you ask? Luke and Leia are about 20 at the time of ANH. According to an interview with Rick McCallum (producer on the prequel trilogy), we'll see Luke being born in Episode III. That puts it 20 years before ANH, which is 10 years after AOTC.

B. What is the release date for Episode III?
May 25, 2005

C. When will production begin?
June 2003. That means the script should be about done if not already done. While most of the movie is done digitally after actors do their performance, a lot of things have to be planned beforehand.

George Lucas has stated that during production of Episode II, he actually filmed what he says is going to be one of the last shots of Episode III.

3) Specific Story Questions

A. Do we see Luke & Leia in this movie?
According to Rick McCallum, at we see at least Luke being born.

B. Darth Vader?
For certain! This is what we've been waiting for! More than one person at Lucasfilm (and various other news sources) have been quoted as saying James Earl Jones will be brought back once more to provide the voice of Darth Vader towards the end of Episode III.

4) Rumors

Coming Soon.
